As part of the company’s inaugural education initiative, former Convaid/R82 managing director and early intervention advocate Kieron J. Slocombe is embarking on a 6-month North American seating and mobility-focused educational tour in 2018.
Beginning on January 22, Slocombe will spend 1 week in each of the Convaid/R82 service territories.
During his visits, Slocombe will discuss clinical applications and provide hands-on demonstrations of R82 seating, walking, standing, and gait-training solutions in the relational frame of each product’s all-day, whole-life, and condition-specific applications.
R82 products discussed will include the seating products Kudu, x:panda, Wombat Living, and Stingray; standing products Caribou, Rabbit, Toucan, and Gazelle PS; and walking products Mustang and Crocodile.
This tour will be supported by webinars and live educational events, many for CEU credit, presented by thought-leaders in pediatric seating and mobility.
“I am excited to be part of this phenomenal educational initiative. Everyone knows that knowledge is power. It is my intent that every stakeholder I reach during this educational tour will be fully briefed on our products and their clinical applications ready to make a marked difference in the quality-of-life for the children we serve,” Slocombe says, in a media release from Convaid/R82.
The educational tour will kick off in Northern California on January 22, for a week centered in the San Francisco Bay Area, followed by:

March 12-16: Carolinas
March 19-23: Eastern Canada
April 2-6: New York
April l 9-13: Washington, DC and Virginia

May 28-June 1: Oklahoma, Kansas, and Colorado
