Fresno, Calif-headquartered Sunrise Medical announces an update to its JAY Fit “semi-custom” wheelchair seating system.

The system, which comprises an advanced seat cushion and backrest combination, features a dovetail track design and easily interchangeable seating options. It is noted in the medical seating industry as an “in-between” product providing a “semi-custom” solution for wheelchair users, per a media release from Sunrise Medical.

“The JAY Fit will especially appeal to dealers and clinicians looking to provide a more affordable yet clinically effective option than can be found in current off-the-shelf seating systems,” notes Jeff Rogers, Sunrise Medical senior product manager for seating, in the release.

Adjustability options include a width range of 10 to 18 inches, a set depth range of 8 to 20 inches, and a back height range of 10 to 22 inches.

The JAY Fit, which weighs 5.5 pounds, is built to accommodate users up to 250 pounds and is compatible with all Quickie manual wheelchairs and most competing brands of wheelchairs.
