Invacare Corporation announces the launch of the AVIVA FX Power Wheelchair with front-wheel drive at the International Seating Symposium in Vancouver, BC.
“The AVIVA FX Power Wheelchair will offer current front-wheel drive users a high-performance chair that is an innovative leap forward in front-wheel drive power mobility,” says Joost Beltman, vice president, sales and marketing for North America, in a media release from the Elyria, Ohio-based company.
Matt Monaghan, Invacare’s chairman, president, and chief executive officer, adds, “We are excited for the launch of the AVIVA FX Power Wheelchair, which represents just the tip of our full pipeline of innovations we plan to commercialize in 2020.”
Features include:
- LINX Technology for easy setup, with pre-set programming parameters, live wireless programming, and integration with ASL specialty controls.
- A unique open stack design that allows the tires, wheels and hubs, gearboxes and motors to be easily removed. And, with all electronics placed at the rear of the unit, wiring and connections are easy to see and access with the rear cover removed.
- All-new patent-pending Invacare 4Sure Suspension that features articulating front anti-tippers, springs and shock absorbers that work together to help keep all four wheels on the ground, even over curbs and other obstacles. Combined with standard Invacare G-Trac Technology and LiNX Technology’s improved Adaptive Load Compensation, the AVIVA FX Power Wheelchair is designed to help make short work of curbs, slopes and uneven surfaces while keeping the client in control and comfort, according to the company.
