The Pendulum Stepper, one of six new NeuroGym therapy and rehabilitation products from Medline, is built to train one’s lower extremity strength, endurance, and range of motion.

The NeuroGym line of therapy and rehabilitation products, new from Medline, aim to empower patients to actively participate in their therapy, which according to the company may help rewire the brain and speed their recovery.

The line is comprised of six products, which include the Pendulum Stepper, that focuses on basic exercise and mobility movements; the Tim Trainer, designed to improve motor control and coordination; the Sit-to-Stand Trainer, which enables a patient to actively initiate the standing-up motion; and the Bungee Mobility Trainer, a graduated body weight support system that is built to allow graduated weight-bearing.

Additional products include the Exercise Wheelchair and the Ankle Trainer.

NeuroGym equipment facilitates patient mobility and the ability to stand independently, which helps decrease the risk of pressure ulcers and potential for falls. Plus, only one therapist may be needed to lift or mobilize a patient, while other systems may require two to three therapists, according to the Northfield, Ill-based company’s website.

“The NeuroGym products can be a true differentiator for facilities as the equipment is specifically designed to increase productivity,” says Brian Garner, director of the sales, therapy and rehab division at Medline, in the release. “This means therapists can not only get patients moving in a safe environment but sustain that progress to ultimately improve their quality of life.”
