Invacare Corporation, Elyria, Ohio, has announced that MAP Mobility & Access Products Inc, a subsidiary of Frank Mobility Systems Inc, Oakdale, Pa, will be the new exclusive distributor for Kuschall North America.

MAP Mobility & Access Products was founded by Werner Frank, president of Frank Mobility Systems, a specialty distributor of mobility solutions since 1995. Frank has a successful history as a distributor and importer of specialty European rehab equipment.

The Kuschall line of wheelchairs is extremely successful and well known in Europe. When Invacare contacted me about distributing Kuschall products in North America, I knew it would be an exciting challenge for my team. We hope to make this a seamless transition for Kuschalls existing North American customers, says Frank.

On December 28, 2006, Invacare announced that it would no longer distribute Kuschall products in North America in order to focus on its own brand of custom manual wheelchairs.

Im very happy to know that Kuschalls state-of-the-art line of wheelchairs will continue to be available and supported in the United States. Based on their history as a European specialty product distributor, we know that Werner Frank and his team will be very successful, says Brian Ellacott, group vice president, Invacare Corporation.

MAP Mobility & Access Products will officially start distributing Kuschall products on January 22, 2007. Kuschall customers will be notified of the agreement via fax. As of Monday, North American customers will be able to contact their new distributor at (888) 253-6677 or (724) 695-1593 (fax); or via email at [email protected] or [email protected]
