The Indianapolis Business Journal recently named Rehab Medical one of Indiana’s Top 25 Fastest Growing Companies, tapping it as No 12 on its Fast 25 list of privately held companies. Last year the company ranked No 21.
“We are so proud to be included on this incredible list, because it means we’ve been able to execute our mission to improve lives on a much larger scale,” says Rehab Medical President Kevin Gearheart, in a media release.
“At the end of the day, our goal is to help more people discover our life-changing equipment so we can make a positive impact on their daily lives.”
Between 2016 to 2018, Rehab Medical grew 74%, up from 65% in the previous 2-year span.
Rehab Medical’s growth during the past year is largely attributed to organic growth and three acquisitions that enabled expansion into another state and added product lines. In an effort to expand its market into Oklahoma, the company acquired Family Medical Supply — now rebranded as Rehab Medical Supply — in November of 2018. And in February of 2019, Rehab Medical purchased OMS Rehab to extend its product line to orthotics and merged with Cork Medical to extend its footprint into the wound care industry, the release explains.
“We’re taking care of people; we’re improving lives for people who need mobility equipment or wound care products,” Gearheart adds. “For us, the growth isn’t just for growth’s sake but because we know we’re able to take care of more people that way.
Winners were announced recently at the JW Marriott in Indianapolis.
