Permobil further expands its offerings within the seating and positioning market via its acquisition of Bozeman, Mont-headquartered Comfort Company.

Comfort Company is a complete seating solutions provider that offers seating and postural support systems for customers with a wide range of rehabilitation needs.

“Following the purchase of ROHO in 2015, the acquisition of Comfort Company further strengthens Permobil’s position within both the complex rehab and long-term care markets. We see tremendous synergies with the addition of Comfort Company’s portfolio together with Permobil’s ROHO Seating and Positioning solutions,” says Tom Borcherding, president of Permobil Seating and Positioning, in a media release from the company.

“With this acquisition, Permobil will now establish a dedicated and clinically-focused commercial team in the US to ensure growth in the complex rehab and long-term care markets.”

Eric Murphy, president of Comfort Company, adds in the release that, “Comfort Company has always had a strong focus and passion for the customer across the pediatric, geriatric and bariatric segments. Permobil shares our vision of providing the highest level of quality and service, and we are excited to become part of the Permobil family.”
