Ottobock has added a Technical Orthopedics sales region, realigning its US regions from three to four, effective July 1, 2014. The company notes in a recent news release that the change comes as a result of expansion and growth within the company, and is intended to take advantage of the momentum, strengths, and talents within the Technical Orthopedics sales team.

According to the release, the new Midwest Region will be comprised of twelve states that include Montana, North Dakota, South Dakota, Iowa, Missouri, Kansas, Oklahoma, Texas, Louisiana, Mississippi, and Arkansas. The new region will be headed up by Brian Long, who joined Ottobock in January 2012 as a territory sales representative for North Texas and Oklahoma.

Walter Governor, Ottobock national director of sales for technical orthopedics, notes that Long’s experience “includes developing strong relationships with physicians and corporate executives throughout the medical device industry.”

Governor adds, “His proven track record and excellent organizational and communication skills recommends him for his new position as Regional Sales Manager, and we look forward to his contributions.”
