K2M Inc, Leesburg, Va, a spinal-device company that provides solutions for treating complex spinal pathologies and procedures, will enlarge its facility by 13,000 square feet to accommodate continuing growth.
The headquarters houses corporate staff, a hands-on training lab, production area, and key operations. A new 2,500-square-foot state-of-the-art conference/training amphitheatre will provide an area for spinal surgery opinion leaders to collaborate with biomechanical engineers and the product development team, and will also be used for training.
With the expansion, the facilities will total 49,000 square feet.
Last year, the company gained 7,000-plus square feet of industrial space in Malvern, Pa by acquiring Medical Technical Services Inc, a medical device manufacturing company.
The company’s line of products includes stabilization systems, minimally invasive systems, and other advancements in spine solutions for degenerative disc disease, deformity, trauma, and tumor.
