Bruno Independent Living Aids, headquartered in Oconomowoc, Wis, is slated to serve as a fifth-year sponsor of the Paralyzed Veterans of America (PVA) 2013 Bass Tour Competition through the donations of its mobility equipment. The company reports that it will be donating a Front-Left (driver’s side) Valet Plus Seat, its newest addition to the Valet Signature Seating line of automotive access products, to the tour’s “Bank Angler of the Year.”

The assistive device will be installed in the PVA’s 2011 Toyota Tundra Crew Max along with the existing driver’s side Stow-Away powered transfer seat and Out-Rider vehicle lift. The PVA Bass Tour is comprised of seven 2-day tournaments held at a variety of locations nationwide. A recent news release reports that each tournament offers an open/team competition for anglers who prefer to fish from a boat, and a bank competition for individuals who desire to fish from shore. Anglers with disabilities in the open/team competition are paired with able-bodied boat partners for the 2-day event, Bruno notes.

On the second day of the event, the paired anglers compete as a team for cash prizes. Anglers with disabilities in the bank competition are partnered with volunteers who are available to assist the anglers while fishing. Tournament prizes are awarded to winners based on the total weight of the five heaviest fish on each day’s tournament.
