Chicago-headquartered Innovative Sports Training Inc, creator of The MotionMonitor 3D motion capture system, has promoted three of its employees to key executive positions, according to the company in a media announcement.
Mona Bhuta is the company’s new president, having been promoted from her previous position as director of research markets. Bhuta, who received an MS degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Michigan, joined the company in 2001 as a client support engineer. She was named to her prior position in 2007.
During her tenure with the company, she championed the development of hybrid systems that combine data collection from active optical, passive optical, electromagnetic trackers, and inertial measurement units. Bhuta will be tasked with establishing the company’s future direction, per the release.
Ian Hoelke, the new vice president of operations and client support, joined the company in 2008 after receiving an MS degree with an emphasis in biomechanics from the University of Wisconsin’s Kinesiology program. Prior to the promotion, Hoelker was responsible for the addition of many of the kinematic systems integrated with The MotionMonitor. In his new role, Hoelker will be responsible for product quality and follow-on support.
Meredith Evans, who has been promoted to vice president market development, joined the company in 2009 as an intern after receiving a BS degree in biomedical engineering from the University of Rochester. She has been responsible for the addition of EEG and qEEG to the company’s stable of products. In her new position, Evans will be responsible for creating awareness of the breadth and depth of The MotionMonitor’s capabilities, as well as the supervision of client support engineers responsible for advising clients on product configuration, the release continues.
