According to the Pew Research Center, each day for the next 19 years about 10,000 Baby Boomers will turn 65. More than half of Boomers report feeling 9 years younger than their chronological age–but their bodies tell another story.

The American Physical Therapy Association’s (APTA) Move Forward campaign is hosting the Fit for Life Livestream event with Grandparents.com on May 16 at 3 pm EST. During the live, online event, a panel of physical therapists will answer questions about staying fit as you age. Topics will include the importance of physical activity, what to expect in terms of age-related mobility, how physical therapists can tailor exercises for the individual, and how to manage pain.

Listeners can ask questions via Facebook, Twitter, or Livestream.com. Save the date by accepting the Event Invitation on Facebook.

Physical therapists  Patrice Winter, PT, MPT, Richard Jackson, PT, OCS, and Kathy Oravetz, PT, GCS, will share their stories, give advice, and demonstrate proper techniques for exercise in response to questions submitted via Livestream, @MoveForwardPT on Twitter, or the Move Forward PT Facebook Page. See how these physical therapists overcame mobility challenges over the years and how they have stayed physically active and fit.

Aa partner in the Fit for Life Livestream event, Grandparents.com is offering all attendees a 1-year free membership to the Grandparents.com Benefits Club. The code word to join free will be revealed live during the event.
