Bioness Inc has begun shipping the Bioness Integrated Therapy System (BITS) with its new Bedside and Mobile hardware configurations to customers in the United States and Canada. Shipments to the European Union will begin in August.

The touchscreen-based BITS system operates a rehabilitative software platform that features 24 unique programs and standardized assessments that challenge and assess a patient’s physical, visual, auditory, and cognitive abilities, for use by occupational, physical and speech therapists. It features both Bedside and Mobile configurations, to help patients with sitting, standing, or mobility challenges to participate in therapy, according to a media release from the Valencia, Calif-based company.

“As one of the most utilized patient engagement tools in rehabilitation, we are excited to offer additional BITS configurations to motivate patients and ease clinician workload,” says Todd Cushman, president and CEO of Bioness, in the release.

“A key component of successful rehabilitation is patient engagement. The BITS Bedside and Mobile expand utilization by providing user-friendly configurations tailored to the specific needs of each therapy discipline.”
