A lightweight carbon fiber foot system engineered for amputees and featuring a slim profile has been launched by Freedom Innovations, Irvine, Calif. The DynAdapt foot’s slender, anatomic design is intended to ease fitting. The product’s multiaxial function is designed to provide optimized comfort.
Freedom Innovations notes that the DynAdapt was designed using long, uninterupped stands of carbon in a full-length heel to allow users to experience simplified rollover and a more natural gait. The product also features the company’s EnduraCore Technology, a proprietyary composite-laminate intended to deliver up to three times the fatigue life of a standard laminate in a design that is more energy efficient.
