MobileHelp Healthcare announces it will be providing its mobile Personal Emergency Response Systems (mPERS) with automatic fall detection as part of the Safe and Steady Fall Prevention Program utilized by the Visiting Angels network of home care agencies.

MobileHelp features the choice of either the DUO (GPS Mobile) System for help at home and away from home, or the Classic System for help in and around the home and the company’s Fall Button device, which is engineered to detect falls and automatically signal for help, according to a media release from MobileHelp Healthcare.

The Visiting Angels Safe and Steady program aims to increase awareness and education around falls and fall prevention. The program offers Visiting Angels clients free in-home assessments and seminars free of charge, designed to help identify simple lifestyle changes that can be made to dramatically reduce the risk of falling.

Via its partnership with MobileHelp Healthcare partnership, Visiting Angels will now be able to offer clients a way to access emergency help right away, if needed, the release continues.

“We are pleased to be able to partner with the Visiting Angels in their mission to help seniors remain at home as long as possible,” says Chris A. Otto, SVP of MobileHelp Healthcare, in the release. “The MobileHelp emergency response system provides a basic level of safety designed to augment even the best in-home care plan.”
