The 2019 Adapted Sports, Recreation, and Living Expo will take place on Saturday, April 6, 2019 from 11am-3pm at Helen Hayes Hospital, West Haverstraw, NY.
The annual event, presented by United Spinal Association’s Hudson Valley chapter, headquartered at Helen Hayes Hospital, will showcase adapted sports and recreation opportunities, as well as a variety of products and services for individuals with disabilities, seniors, and their families and caregivers.
Among the over 40 exhibitors at this year’s Expo will be Ms. Wheelchair NJ Millie Gonzales, who will promote her platform #LiveFiercely: Take Control of Your Life Through Self-Care. First time exhibitors will also include the Grit Freedom Chair, the official all-terrain wheelchair of the Spartan Race; the National Disability Institute; and Advantage Limo, which will showcase their wheelchair-accessible limos.
Additional representatives will be on hand from companies and organizations offering auto and van conversions, wheelchairs and scooters, adapted and durable medical equipment, ramps, lifts, advocacy and law services, and more.
Representatives will also be in attendance from organizations offering adapted sports activities, such as the HHH Adapted Sports and Recreation program, which offers adapted skiing, golfing, kayaking, sailing, fishing, gardening, adaptive video gaming, and more. Select adapted sports equipment will be on display and available for attendees to test-drive.
