“Mystified by Medicare,” hosted by the Parkinson’s Disease Support Group at Helen Hayes Hospital, West Haverstraw, NY, will take place October 21 from 10:30 am to 11:30 am in the hospital’s Noyes Conference Room.

The free public program will be led by Medicare solutions advisor, long-term care specialist, and Certified Senior Advisor Jennifer Lavelli. During the program, she will teach attendees three ways to complete their applications for Medicare health and prescription coverage, as well as how to evaluate the different choices and plans to find coverage that suits their needs and budget.

Lavelli will also answer attendees’ questions regarding how to be certain that Medicare coverage is accepted by an individual¹s doctors and covers all prescriptions, how to determine whether one is paying too much or too little for coverage, and whether it makes sense to review existing coverage during Medicare’s Annual Election Period (which lasts from October 15 to December 7), explains a media release from Helen Hayes Hospital.
