A California company is winning recognition for its treatment of long-haul COVID and other post-virial fatigue conditions. Web-based re-origin uses science-based, self-directed neuroplasticity training for sufferers of long-haul COVID and other inflammatory-based conditions.

Neuroplasticity is a person’s innate ability to direct the brain to replace old negative neural pathways with new positive ones. By performing this rewiring, a brain can return to a healthy state and, thus, so can a person’s mind and body.

A February 2022 story in WebMD, Scientists See Hope in New Therapy for COVID Brain Fog Patients, mentions re-origin and reports, “One of the most common symptoms of long COVID is brain fog: a life-altering condition characterized by slow thinking, confusion, difficulty remembering things and poor concentration…. A type of rehabilitation program that allows the brain to rewire itself has been successful in improving the lives of people with brain fog. The approaches are based on the concept of neuroplasticity….”

A November 2021 story in Scientific American notes, “In a recent study, researchers showed for the first time that – just as the brain remembers people, places, smells and so on – it also stores what they call ‘memory traces’ of the body’s past infections. Reactivating the same brain cells that encode this information is enough to swiftly summon the peripheral immune system to defend at-risk tissues.”

The Scientific American study is essentially reporting on neuroplasticity training, said Ben Ahrens, the co-founder and CEO of re-origin, who developed the program with a clinical psychologist and PhD neuroscientist. He has sought out, consulted and works with top neuroscientists and cutting-edge doctors from all over the world.

The re-origin program is easy to follow, self-directed, cost-effective and takes just minutes a day to implement.

The re-origin approach includes a six-part neuroplasticity training program and 30 minutes of exercises a day. Program participants can also join weekly group coaching calls, live question and answer sessions, and online events.
