An international audience of scientists, clinicians, and clinical users of therapeutic methods and technologies worldwide are expected to attend the Pediatric Neurorehabilitation Symposium (PNRS) 2013 in Chicago October 15 to 16.
The event is reportedly the official pre-conference to the annual meeting of the American Academy for Cerebral Palsy and Developmental Medicine (AACPDM).
Attendees will gather at the Rehabilitation Institute of Chicago (RIC) to share expertise and learn how to assess and use new technologies and therapy concepts in their daily practice, according to a recent joint news release. RIC, the International Telethons Organization (ORITEL) and Hocoma organize the event.
The release notes that the symposium will feature speakers from highly recognized institutions worldwide presenting a variety of different topics geared toward new technologies in neurorehabilitation, motivating children with virtual environments, surgical, and pharmacological interventions and research in pediatric neurological pathologies.
RIC adds that the event is designed to provide clinicians and scientists a platform to discuss how newly emerging technologies can be used on the basis of individual patient requirements and training goals in an effort to ensure safe, customized, and effective rehabilitation for children and adolescents.
