October is National Physical Therapy Month, and Balance Rehabilitation in Mission Viejo, Calif, is joining the celebration by offering complementary balance testing, using the clinic’s state-of-the-art equipment, and injury assessments, performed by the clinic’s highly trained specialists.

The free testing is part of a one-day educational open house hosted at Balance Rehabilitation on October 21 at 25971 Pala St, Suite 110 from 11 am to 3 pm, where the public is invited to learn about the benefits of using specialized physical therapy to treat neurological, vestibular, and balance-related disorders.

“Our goal now is to increase awareness of the benefits of treating balance-related problems with physical therapy," says Dr. Mark Wegener, director of Balance Rehabilitation. “National Physical Therapy Month is the perfect time to educate the community about the benefits physical therapy can offer this underserved area. And, it will allow anyone suffering from possible balance problems the opportunity to speak to a therapist one-on-one.”

Wegener and his team of therapists will be available to answer any questions about physical therapy and the clinic’s unique multidisciplinary approach to patient care, as well as the different practice areas at Balance Rehabilitation and the revolutionary technological equipment.

“I invite anyone interested in any aspect of physical therapy to visit us on October 21,” Wegener says. “As one of only a handful of neurological and balance-focused outpatient clinics in Orange County, we want to educate the community about how our cutting edge physical therapy techniques, sophisticated machinery and knowledgeable staff help facilitate the targeted needs of our patients.”

All attendees will be entered in drawings for door prizes taking place throughout the day. Prizes include an iPod, massage therapy sessions, Pilates training, and various gift certificates from local vendors.
