In a recent news release, Sunrise Medical, Fresno, Calif, reports that it has launched a new head support designed to provide users with anterior, posterior, and lateral support of the head and neck. The Whitmyer Heads Up head support is comprised of stabilization arms, which extend from the headrest and are designed to offer anterior and lateral stabilization of the shoulders and trunk.
The stabilization arms feature a swing-out function, Sunrise Medical notes, intended to eliminate the need to flip back the headrest during transfers. The product is also available with two posterior support pad options from Whitmyer designs, featuring a tall pad height that uses the Contoured Cradle design to promote comfort and lateral support of the cervical spine and short pad height to provide a more customized, involved fit.
