Veritas Health, Deerfield, Ill, parent company of Spine-health.com, recently announced the launch of its “Like to Help” campaign, designed to support World Spine Care, a nonprofit dedicated to bringing professional spine care to patients in developing nations. Spine-health reports that it will be donating $1 to World Spine Care for every fan gained on the Spine-health Facebook page during the campaign.

The campaign is slated to run through January 1, according to a recent news release. The release notes that the Spine-health.com Web site is committed to publishing trusted patient education written and reviewed by physicians. Spine-health adds that both it and World Spine Care are aligned in their goals of assisting patients in finding pain relief and coping with debilitating back conditions.

The release also reports that musculoskeletal conditions are the leading cause of disability worldwide, with spinal disorders representing the vast majority of these conditions in the developing world. World Spine Care is comprised of doctors, surgeons, chiropractors, physiotherapists, and other health care professionals trained to fill this gap in the developing world between the need and availability of care.
