Physical therapy students nationwide will explore aspects of the profession as they determine their practice and career goals during the annual National Student Conclave (NSC) in San Jose, Calif, from October 17 to 19.

The event is hosted by the American Physical Therapy Association‘s (APTA), Alexandria, Va.

Seminars will include "PT Interventions with Robotics," "Continuum of Care for Individuals With Lifelong Disabilities," and "Pharmacology in Current and Future Physical Therapist Practice." Students may attend in-depth clinical sessions on physical therapy specialty areas such as acute care, geriatrics, neurology, orthopedics, pediatrics, sports, and women’s health.

Elections for the 2008-2009 student assembly board of directors and nominating committee will take place at the conclave, and all registered student members will receive a ballot. Attendees will meet with employers, manufacturers, and publishers in the 2-day NSC exhibit hall.
