Philadelphia, PA – Good Shepherd Penn Partners (GSPP), the joint venture between Good Shepherd Rehabilitation Network and the University of Pennsylvania Health System (UPHS), has named its administrative team. GSPP reports it is on schedule to begin providing post-acute care for the UPHS network and other providers beginning July.

The following are members of the GSPP team:

Michael Soisson, Executive Director
As the chief executive for GSPP, Soisson provides strategic oversight and operational leadership to the post-acute care network. Soisson has experience in rehabilitation and long-term acute care hospital services and prior to joining GSPP was a senior health-care consultant specializing in post-acute care. He previously served as vice president for hospital development for Centerre Healthcare and senior consultant for post-acute services for Mitretek-Gill/Balsano Consulting. Soisson’s career also included positions as: chief executive officer of Select Specialty Hospitals in Greensburg, Camp Hill and York, Pennsylvania; System Vice President for Conemaugh Health System in Johnstown, Pennsylvania; and COO/CEO of HealthSouth Rehabilitation Hospital in Scottsdale, Arizona. Soisson received a bachelor’s degree from Loyola College in Maryland and a master’s degree in exercise physiology from the University of Pittsburgh. He also earned a master’s degree in health-care administration from Medical College of Virginia.

Frank D. Sites, MHA, BSN, RN, Nursing Executive
Sites will oversee nursing for the GSPP Specialty Hospital at Rittenhouse (long-term acute care hospital) and the Penn Institute for Rehabilitation Medicine (inpatient rehabilitation facility). Prior to joining GSPP, Sites was Operations Director of Penn E-lert eICU at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania. He previously served as Senior Cardiology Consultant for Siemen’s Medical Solutions and held positions with Montgomery Hospital in Norristown, Pennsylvania, Presbyterian Medical Center in Philadelphia and Temple University Hospital in Philadelphia. Sites received a bachelor’s degree from Holy Family College in Philadelphia and a master’s of science in health administration degree from Saint Joseph’s University in Philadelphia.

Robert J. Cullen, PT, JD, MBA, LLM, Therapy Executive
Cullen is in charge of all GSPP therapy services provided by GSPP’s Specialty Hospital at Rittenhouse, the Penn Institute for Rehabilitation Medicine, the eight Penn Therapy and Fitness (outpatient physical therapy) centers and at UPHS’s hospitals. Prior to joining GSPP, Cullen was administrative director of occupational and physical therapy for the University of Pennsylvania Medical Center. Previously, he held positions with Mercy Fitzgerald Hospital in Darby, Pennsylvania, Neumann College in Aston, Pennsylvania, and Delaware County Memorial Hospital in Drexel Hill, Pennsylvania. Cullen earned a bachelor’s degree from Temple University and a juris doctorate/master’s in business administration/master’s of law health law from Widener University in Chester, Pennsylvania. Cullen is an adjunct faculty member at Thomas Jefferson University, Arcadia University and Widener University. He currently is working toward a doctor of education degree from the University of Pennsylvania.

Robert Norwicke, MBA, Long-Term Acute Care Hospital Administrator
Norwicke will oversee the GSPP Specialty Hospital at Rittenhouse. Prior to joining GSPP, Norwicke was Consulting Director of Continuous Quality and Performance Improvement for Centerre Healthcare Corporation of West Chester, Pennsylvania. He previously held positions with Magee Rehabilitation Hospital in Philadelphia and Northwestern Institute of Fort Washington, Pennsylvania. Norwicke earned a bachelor’s degree from Cabrini College in Radnor, Pennsylvania, and a master’s of business administration from Temple University.

Lisa A. Haney, PT, Inpatient Rehabilitation Facility Administrator
Haney will oversee the Penn Institute for Rehabilitation Medicine. Prior to joining GSPP, Haney was Director of Rehabilitation Services for Pennsylvania Hospital in Philadelphia. She previously held positions with: Kimball Medical Center in Lakewood, New Jersey; Manor Health Care of King of Prussia, Pennsylvania; Union County College in Plainfield, New Jersey; Westfield Sports Medicine & Physical Therapy in Westfield, New Jersey; Kessler Institute for Rehabilitation in East Orange, New Jersey. Haney earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of Scranton in Scranton, Pennslyvania.

Jana L. Romano, MBA, PHR, Human Resources Manager
Romano oversees the human resources functions for GSPP. Prior to joining GSPP, Romano was human resources manager for CPUP Surgery and John Rhea Barton Surgical Associates of the UPHS. She held previous positions with John Rhea Barton Surgical Associates, including senior payroll and benefits coordinator. Romano earned a bachelor’s degree from Grove City College in Grove City, Pennsylvania, and a master’s of business administration degree from Joseph M. Kratz Graduate School of Business at the University of Pittsburgh.
