The Agility Carbon back, a new precision-crafted back system from ROHO Inc, a business unit of Permobil, features a 12K flat tow carbon weave construction that is similar to what is used in Formula 1 race cars and America’s Cup yachts.
Fifteen degrees of forward and rearward adjustment in 5-degree increments is possible via Zytel angle adjustment discs, which lock into the carbon fiber. When loosened, the discs allow the shell to rotate independently.
The back is available in widths ranging from 14 inches to 18 inches in 1-inch increments with two contours: minimum (3 inches) and mid-contour (4 inches), and in three different shell heights: 10 inches, 13 inches, and 16 inches.

Our goal was to design the most elegant backrest in the world, and I believe we achieved this goal with this amazing new product,” says Tom Borcherding, president of ROHO, in a media release from the Lebanon, Tenn-based company.
