The Andago mobile robot for body weight-supported gait training is now available for use in the United States, according to its manufacturer—Norwell, Mass-headquartered Hocoma Inc USA.

According to the company’s website, the Andago—built to bridge the bap between treadmill-based gait training and free walking—allows users to practice upright, hands-free walking without spatial limitations.

Built-in training modes enable therapists to adjust the intensity and challenge for the patient.

No installation or building modification is required. As well, the Andago is engineered to display training results and export them via USB.
