Nominations are currently being accepted for the second annual Compassionfirst Award, Ozark, Mo-based company HEALTHCAREfirst Inc, announced in a news release. The award was created to recognize the home health or hospice giver who has gone above and beyond what is required, and provides genuine kindness, dedication, and compassion when caring for others. 

Bobby Robertson, HEALTHCAREfirst president and CEO, notes that the award is, “our way of saying thank you to those who devote their lives to caring for others in their homes.”

HEALTHCAREfirst reports that it will select one home health caregiver and one hospice caregiver as award recipients. The recipients will receive a $500 cash prize and recognition at the National Association for Home Care and Hospice Annual Meeting and the National Hospice and Palliative Care Organization Clinical Team Conference.

According to the release, nominations will be accepted at www.healthcarefirst.com until September 14, 2012.
