World T.E.A.M. Sports announces that Guillermo Rojas, Jr, has been elected to its Board of Directors.

Rojas, the Managing Partner of Colorado Springs-based sports marketing firm TORRE Consulting Services, is the organization’s first board member in the American west since 2012, according to a media release from World T.E.A.M. Sports.

“Guillermo is a welcome addition to the World T.E.A.M. Sports board as he brings a wealth of experience in sports marketing across many venues,” said George Puskar, a board member who is retiring in 2016, in the release.

Per the release, Rojas participated in the World T.E.A.M. Sports’ Adventure Team Challenge in 2014 and 2015. His outdoor sports career includes stints at the US Olympic Committee and USA Swimming. Most recently, he served as vice president of King of the Mountain Sports.

“It’s an honor to be elected for the World T.E.A.M. Sports board,” says Rojas in the release. “The organization has a very important mission and one that inspires me to get involved. I look forward to helping create exposure for the mission, brand and the inspiring individuals that surround the organization.”

“My focus will be to increase and diversify revenue streams in order to help disabled men, women and children accomplish their dreams,” he adds.

World T.E.A.M. Sports, a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization, is chartered in North Carolina and headquartered in Colorado Springs, Colo. Founded in 1993, it organizes athletic events for disabled and able-bodied participants.
