Asbury, Inc has announced its expansion and renovation of the Asbury Place, John City, Tenn, a community specializing in short-term skilled care, rehabilitation, and long-term care. The company will break ground on June 29, 2011.

Construction is estimated at $1.5 million and includes new amenities for residents such as an expanded dining room, activity room, and better therapy services, doubling the space for speech, occupational, and physical therapies.

"This construction is evidence of Asbury’s ongoing commitment to high-quality long-term health care. It will allow our staff to serve our residents in an environment of excellence, and that is always our goal," said Melanie Scott, administrator of Asbury Place Johnson City.

Asbury, Inc, which owns three retirement communities in eastern Tennessee, has renovation and expansion projects underway at all of its campuses to accomodate the growing senior living market.
