The American Physical Therapy Association, Alexandria, Va (APTA) has sent a letter to Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev) and House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif) stating top priorities for physical therapists and their patients as the two chambers work on reconciling the differences between the House’s Affordable Health Care for America (HR 3962) and the Senate’s Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (HR 3590).

Instead of a typical formal conference between the House and Senate, leaders from both chambers and the committees of health care jurisdiction are finalizing the legislation.
