Hearthside Home Care, Greensboro, NC, has become the first independent non-medical home care provider to convert to a FirstLight Home Care franchise. Moving forward, it will now be named FirstLight Home Care of Guilford.

“It’s the fastest way to grow,” says Tina Glenn, Hearthside president and CEO, in a media release.

“Our values align perfectly, especially FirstLight’s Culture of Care philosophy,” adds Roget de Percin Berendes, Hearthside vice president.

“We are thrilled to welcome Hearthside Home Care into the FirstLight family,” states Jeff Bevis, CEO and co-founder of FirstLight Home Care. “After meeting Tina and Roget, there was no doubt in my mind they were the perfect fit for our company. Their experience and passion for exceptional caregiving make them ideal FirstLight Home Care owners.”

Bevis states in the release that nothing will change about the business, other than the company name and other branding updates.

“We’re extremely excited and very motivated about the future,” Glenn and Berendes share. “We’re also paving the way for other independent businesses to join the FirstLight family.”

In a separate news release FirstLight Home Care announces the opening of a new location in the St. Augustine area in the fall. The office will be owned and operated by business partners Brandi Stone and Eric Friedrich II and will serve areas including St. Augustine, Jacksonville, Jacksonville Beach, and Ponte Vedra Beach.
