The seventh annual Adapted Sports, Recreation and Living Expo will take place at Helen Hayes Hospital, West Haverstraw, NY, on Saturday, April 9 from 11 am to 4 pm.

According to a media release, the event will feature adapted sports and recreation activities, as well as a variety of products and services for seniors, those with disabilities, and their families or caregivers.

Exhibitors will include the 1Touch Project—a self-defense program designed for individuals with disabilities; the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation, which will showcase accessible outdoor activities; the Therapeutic Equestrian Center; Roll Call Wheelchair Dance; Push to Walk; and the Nyack Boat Club Adapted Sailing Program.

Also on hand at the Expo will be representatives from companies and organizations with such offerings as auto and van conversions, wheelchairs and scooters, adapted and durable medical equipment, ramps, lifts, and advocacy and law services. Representatives will also be in attendance from organizations offering adapted sports activities. Select adapted sports equipment will be on display and available for attendees to test-drive, per the release.
