The American Brain Foundation, the foundation for the American Academy of Neurology (AAN) has announced that it will be now taking submissions for its 2013 Neuro Film Festival in a recent news release. The deadline for short videos is January 31, 2013. 

Neurology patients, caregivers, and others will have an opportunity to share their stories about why additional funding for research is needed in finding cures for brain diseases. 

The release reports that the Neuro Film Festival is designed to raise awareness about the need to donate money for research into the prevention, treatment, and cure of brain and nervous system diseases such as stroke, multiple sclerosis (MS), Alzheimer’s disease, autism, and Parkinson’s disease.

Film festival winners could win up to $1,000 and a trip to San Diego, the foundation adds.
