Anatomical Concepts Inc has introduced a new line of elbow orthoses that offer a low-profile, fast-fit design to accommodate musculoskeletal injuries. The company’s Web site notes that this line includes the EMO Orthosis, E-ROM Orthosis, and QUAD Orthosis.
Each product is designed by practitioners and aims to simplify the fitting process for the clinician and provide comfort for the patient, offering the necessary control or stability to address varying upper-extremity and specific elbow etiologies. Each product also accommodates a wide range of uses, including neuromuscular rehab and orthopedic rehab.
The [removed]EMO Elbow Management Orthos[/removed]is (pictured right) features a wrap-around closure with open cell material. The product is engineered to accommodate users requiring musculoskeletal/elbow injury immobilization or can be used to offset or improve elbow joint range of motion (ROM) due to muscle tightness.
Like the [removed]EMO Orthosis, the E-ROM Elbow Orthosis – ROM Joint System[/removed] also features a wrap-around closure and can be used for neuromuscular rehab and orthopedic rehab. The product offers users infinite ROM positioning from 0 degrees to 110 degrees in order to provide flexibility and comfort. The low profile product also provides bi-directional stretching and decreased fitting time.
Rounding out the line is the [removed]QUAD Elbow Orthosis – Ratchet & ROM Joint System[/removed]. Paralleing the E-ROM Orthosis, the product features ratchet-style stretching. The product’s uses also include both acute and sub-acute rehab, traumatic brain injury (TBI), spinal cord injury (SCI), and multiple sclerosis (MS).
