The Christopher & Dana Reeve Foundation Paralysis Resource Center (PRC) will be hosting a free two-part webinar on government benefits as it pertains to individuals living with paralysis looking for Medicaid and SSI/SSDI coverage.

The first session on April 25 will answer questions about qualifying for Medicaid, positioning yourself to become eligible for these benefits, and preparation for any questions the government may ask about your work and health history.

The second session on May 22 will teach you how to read and assess your social security record and see if you are eligible to receive both SSDI and Medicaid coverage.

“It is important for individuals to know what coverage is available to them. With so many guidelines it is hard for someone to know which paths to take, especially while trying to navigate the daily obstacles that come with living with paralysis. The PRC is here to provide families and individuals different resources to educate them on what benefits are available for them or their family in an easy, digestible manner,” says Angela Cantillon, director, Paralysis Resource Center Operations, in a media release.

Both webinars are free to register and are open to the public and will be hosted by Mary Anne Ehlert, CFP, a financial professional with extensive experience working with families of individuals with disabilities and the elderly on their financial planning.

Both webinars will air at 2 pm ET. Registry for the webinar can be found on the Reeve Foundation’s events page.
