Complex rehab technology provider Numotion announces the acquisition of Fort Worth-based durable medical equipment supplier Home Medical Equipment (HME) of Texas.

This acquisition continues Numotion’s expanding operations into Texas.

“HME of Texas has a great reputation throughout the state for providing customers with premier products and services,” says Mike Swinford, CEO of Numotion, in a media release. “Their knowledge of the Texas market, specifically the eastern and western parts of the state, will improve our coverage and enable us to positively impact many more lives by serving the mobility needs of more customers.”

Beyond market knowledge, HME of Texas brings extensive experience with the Texas Department of Aging and Disability’s (DADS) Applied Income Program, the release notes.

“Our team of 13 is looking forward to being a part of the Numotion team because it offers additional resources to help better serve our customers,” states Issam Bou-Hamdan, owner, HME of Texas, per the release. “From products to a better service and repair network, our customers will have access to an improved purchasing experience.”

HME of Texas will continue to operate from its current facility. Plans for the upcoming year are to open a new facility combining HME of Texas with Numotion’s Fort Worth branch under one roof.
