
The activities are reportedly developed and led by trained recreational, art, and music therapists who are familiar with the children’s needs, sensitivities, and the activities they enjoy. A news release from DIC notes that the camp is open to participated aged 3 to 12 years old from its rehabilitative and therapeutic centers in Detroit, Walled Lake, St. Clair Shores, and Royal Oak. Patients and siblings have the ability to attend any or all of the half-day sessions at no cost. Daily attendance is limited to 60 children.
Mark Clearly, DIC CEO, states, “We are very excited to host our 11th annual camp, and pleased to be able to provide this experience for our patients—‘the children of the DIC.”
